The cottage offers great views over the village and stunning views of the beautiful surrounding hills and countryside. A few moments from the cottage you can hear and view the rushing waters of Gunnerside Ghyll.

The cottage is in a beautiful setting and great location for those who enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, photography, painting. Alternatively Briar Mede is perfect for those who just wish to relax and unwind in a peaceful and very special place.

Recently refurbished to a high standard Briar Mede sleeps four persons and has two single bedrooms, a large double bedroom, shower room and bathroom with shower. It has kitchen diner and very comfortable lounge with wood burning stove.

The “Hidden Gem“ of Briar Mede is the secret walled garden. This is a beautiful private setting for alfresco dining or simply relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. It’s is also enchanting for bird watchers and stargazers... We welcome children and will provide high chair, cot or small camp bed in the Master Bedroom on request.

One well behaved dog welcome, strictly not upstairs or on furniture. Thank-you.
